形態特徵

An evergreen shrub 2–4 m high.
Leaves large, to 50 cm or more across, chartaceous to subcoriaceous, palmately lobed, the lobes 7–12, free to the lower 1/3 the length of the blade, ovate-oblong, acuminate, the margins entire to coarsely serrate; petioles long, terete, glabrous, to 50 cm or more long.
Inflorescence a large terminal compound panicle to 50 cm long, densely tomentose; flowers yellowish, the umbels many-flowered, about 12 cm across; peduncles about 1.2 cm long; calyx densely tomentose, about 1 mm long; petals about 2 mm long, tomentose without.
Fruits 3–4 mm across.
The pith of this plant yields a so-called "rice paper" used mainly for making artificial flowers.

分布

台灣 : In the northern, central and eastern parts, in thickets at 300–2,000 m.
世界 : Southern China.
